galaxy on the plaster ceiling, was designed for bookstore and publishing platform, Print Aint Dead, a bookstore and publishing platform focused on black, brown, and indigenous artists. It is envisioned as a reflection on themes of non-linear stages of healing, concrete poetry, acts of rehabilitation, and mental health awareness. This full-color newsprint publiction included a separate transluscent red sheet to align the scattered text throughout its pages. The multi-part format reference “The Feelings Wheel”, designed by pschotherapist, Gloria Wilcox, in 1982, which itself was inspired by Joseph Zinker’s ideas of conceiving the therapist as an artist (Zinker, 1978), and Robert Plutcchik’s comparison of emotions to colors (Plutchik, 1980).
